Role: Project Director (Slattery)
Provision of cost planning and commercial advisory services during the design and planning stages for a major life sciences campus within Sydney’s emerging health and innovation precinct.
The project comprises a purpose built life sciences precinct across multiple sites on Botany Road and Wyndham Street, delivering over 27,000m² of laboratory enabled workspace across three interconnected buildings.
The development is designed as a high performance base building (cold shell) capable of accommodating a range of laboratory and research fitouts, including PC2 and PC3 environments, cleanrooms and GMP facilities, to be delivered by future tenants.
Key components include significant below ground infrastructure including a Proton Therapy Cancer Treatment Centre, together with integrated public domain works, laneways and landscaped spaces improving connectivity across the site.
The scheme incorporates high capacity building services, structural loadings and specialist ventilation systems to support future laboratory use, while maintaining flexibility to accommodate a range of tenant requirements over time.
The project is positioned as Australia’s first commercial life sciences campus, providing a dedicated ecosystem to support collaboration between research institutions, universities and industry, and enabling the commercialisation of research and development within Australia.
The development forms part of the broader Tech Central and Botany Road innovation corridor, leveraging proximity to major hospitals, universities and research institutions to position Sydney as a leading hub for life sciences and advanced technology.
