Role: Project Director (Slattery)
Provision of cost planning and cost management services through design development and tender for a new regional entertainment and cultural facility for Muswellbrook Shire Council.
The project comprises a new performing arts and community venue designed to support a broad range of cultural, civic and entertainment uses, forming a key component of the Muswellbrook town centre revitalisation and broader regional development strategy.
The development includes a 400-seat theatre with orchestra pit, a flexible performance and event space, and a multipurpose studio accommodating rehearsals, community functions and smaller-scale performances. The facility is designed to support touring productions as well as local arts and community programming.
The building incorporates a highly transparent and publicly accessible frontage, with a prominent foyer and gathering space activating the surrounding public domain and creating a new civic destination within the town centre.
Key components include front-of-house and back-of-house theatre facilities, technical production infrastructure, and integrated public domain works supporting event use and community activation.
The project required coordination with Council and community stakeholders, together with management of cost and programme within a regional delivery context and a constrained construction market.
