Role: Project Director (Slattery)
Provision of cost planning and commercial advisory services during the early design and planning stages for a major mixed-use precinct development within the Wollongong CBD.
The project comprises the redevelopment of an entire city block bounded by Crown, Keira, Burelli and Atchison Streets, delivering a large scale mixed-use precinct incorporating residential towers, commercial office space, retail, hospitality and cultural uses.
The development includes three residential towers delivering approximately 400 apartments, together with over 22,000m² of commercial floor space and a range of complementary uses including cinema, performance venue, health and wellness facilities and activated ground plane retail.
The scheme is designed as a “live-work-play” precinct centred around a major landscaped public space, forming a new green heart within the city and significantly improving pedestrian permeability through the introduction of new laneways and connections across the site.
Key components include retention and integration of heritage structures including the Grand Hotel and Marcus Clark building façades, together with delivery of new public domain, cultural infrastructure and community-focused spaces.
The project formed part of a broader vision to reposition the Wollongong CBD through large scale mixed-use urban renewal.
